Administrative Assistant (Volunteer)

Taronga currently has a vacancy for an administrative assistant (volunteer) in our Scientific Research and Wildlife Conservation area.

This IT focused administrative position will support the department across a number of different projects and provide IT assistance such as updating a Wildlife Health website, posting events, activities, files, and providing video production assistance such as; editing & compressing video files.  Some experience preferred, however training is available.

Volunteer days are available Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. Working hours between ½ to a full day per week (negotiable). 

This position is a short term role, available for a minimum 3 months and is expected to run through to July 2012.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have an understanding of website administration
  • Video editing experience preferred
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have an excellent ability to work on a PC platform
