From the 1st May 2012 the playground and water area of Backyard to Bush will be closed for some exiciting renovations, however kids can still explore the farmyard, the Backyard to Bush house and bush area. Backyard Buddies, Farm Yard Feed and Spider Talk are still on every day.

Keeper for a Day is an amazing experience that takes you behind the scenes into the daily lives of our keepers and gives you a once in a lifetime opportunity to get really close to some of Taronga Zoo’s most popular animals.
Get near some of the Zoo’s most amazing animals - see a Koala up-close, feed a Giraffe, book an owl encounter, or learn more about wildlife at one of the daily shows.

Come train with us! The Taronga Training institute offers those considering a zoo career the opportunity to become an Intern Keeper, as well as providing valuable accredited training.
Taronga’s newly developed Main Entrance Plaza is a free access area where you can plan your Zoo adventure or get a taste of this famous Zoo even if you are only able to stay for a short visit.
