The July Holidays are just around the corner and we are busy getting activities sorted out for you here at the Zoo. There may be an excursion, a subject selection and University Help day, a FUN DAY, an Activity Hub and of course YATZeD being organised, oh and of course the other usual activities. The timetable will be sent to all members mid-June so make sure you keep an eye on inboxes and Facebook so you can find out how to get involved these coming holidays.
Membership Renewals are NOW OPEN!
Some of you will need to renew your YATZ membership before these holidays! To make sure that all you all get the chance to renew your memberships – before we open to new members - we now have the 2012/2013 YATZ Membership Renewals available. All you need to do is download the application kit and follow the instructions. Renewal applications will close on the 8th of June 2012 to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate in the July 2012 School Holidays.
Note: We will be processing applications once a week and will send a confirmation email once processed.
Friends on Facebook?
If you are on Facebook you can ask to be our friend. Our name is YATZ at Zoo (yes YATZ was taken) and just make sure if you are using a different name write us a message to let us know who you are so we accept you.
Enviro Forum
YATZ has also been asked if they want to present workshops to other students on how to engage people with conservation campaigns. The Enviro Forum is on the 26th of June here at Taronga. It is a forum for sustainability leaders of the future. You can find out more here If you are interested in helping out we are looking for YATZ members currently attending High School to run workshops with approximately 25 students. So if you are interested in developing leadership skills, know all about the Zoos’ campaigns and feel confident delivering a workshop to 25 other students by yourself then email the YATZ email account and we will send you the application form.
