
Administration/Office Volunteers assist with clerical and administrative duties in a range of areas in the zoo including:
• Finance and Accounts
• Marketing
• Human Resources
• Memberships
• Public Relations
Duties in all areas may include handling visitor enquiries both face-to-face and over the phone; processing new applications; selling merchandise; data entry and general computer use.
Is this right for me?
You need to have good customer service skills, have plenty of patience and some basic computer skills. Administration Volunteers generally work indoors.
Minimum commitment: 12 months, once per fortnight (negotiable).
Financial contribution: $25 joining fee.
Long Term Programs - are required to also be Zoofriends members, please do not purchase a membership until you have sucessfully secured a postion as Volunteer positions are not guaranteed.
All administration volunteers are required to complete a one day induction course.
Additional training is provided on the job.
