Fundraising Volunteers provide support to the Taronga Foundation with special fundraising events and external fundraising activities, as required by our Fundraising division. This may include activities such as special fundraising events, delivering presentations to groups
Level 1: Fundraising
These volunteers provide a basic level of assistance with wayfinding and/or escorting of VIP’s at fundraising events or the selling of tickets at fundraising events.
Level 2: Fundraising
Level 2 volunteers are trained to deliver presentations to special groups both offsite and onsite to increase support for our Zoo Parent program, Zoo Friends membership program, and other sponsorship opportunities.
Is this right for me?
Fundraising is suitable for outgoing people who enjoy socialising, networking and can provide a high level of customer service. Good presentation and interpersonal skills are also required. Fundraising Volunteers need to be flexible in their availability to assist with events and out of hours activities.
Minimum commitment: 12 months, once per fortnight (negotiable).
Financial contribution: $95 per year.
Training
All Fundraising Volunteers are required to complete a one day induction course.
- Level 2 volunteers require presentation skills training
All volunteers must complete Level 1 volunteering before progressing.
