Getting creative to protect the Platypus

Students at Macquarie Anglican Grammar School have been busy getting creative as part of Project Platypus, a community conservation education program that raises awareness of the conservation needs of Platypus populations in the western region.

The students have been screen printing t-shirts with catchy slogans and imagery to encourage people to do more for the environment so that the Platypus can enjoy a long and healthy future in the Macquarie River.

It was great to see a lot of enthusiasm from the students who were eager to get their hands a little dirty all in the name of the Platypus.  Students will continue to work on their projects in the lead-up to the Project Platypus community expo later this year.
