Melbourne Zoo celebrates birth of Eastern Bongo calf
Taronga would like to congratulate Melbourne Zoo on the recent birth of a male Eastern Bongo calf.Mother Binti was born at Taronga Zoo Sydney and Father Ndugu was born at Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo.The birth is a significant contribution to the critically endangered species’ population with fewer than 100 individuals remaining in their natural habitat of Kenya’s upland range.
