From planting trees to restoring eco-systems
This National Tree Day, we're celebrating the role habitat restoration plays in protecting Australia's biodiversity.

Habitat Positive's Sanctuary One inaugural Partner, Sydney Airport is supporting us to restore more than 3,000 hectares of Box Gum Woodlands, one of Australia's most threatened ecological communities. These landscapes provide critical habitat, support biodiversity and help reconnect fragmented wildlife corridors across the region.
Successful restoration requires more than putting plants in the ground. It starts with understanding the landscape, selecting appropriate sites, undertaking ecological baseline surveys and ensuring the right species and seed stock to create resilient, self-sustaining ecosystems for the future. By restoring Box Gum Woodlands, we're helping create healthier habitats that will support threatened species for generations to come.
