Workshop overview
In this hands‑on Early Stage 1 workshop, students will meet a range of native Australian animals and explore how living things find air, water and energy in their environments. By observing animal bodies, movements and eating habits, learners uncover the remarkable adaptations that help each species survive in the wild.
The workshop also highlights how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples use their deep understanding of animals to live sustainably on Country. Students learn that First Nations knowledge systems provide important insights into caring for the natural world.
Designed to spark curiosity, students are encouraged to connect with the animals around them and understand the needs of living things that sustain life.
