Highlights of the trail include our twice daily Dino Keeper Talks, interactive fossil dig, climbable Pachyrhinosaurus and a life-size Tyrannosaurus Rex!
More free daily experiences
These Summer school holidays we're adding loads of extra animal feeds and Meet-a-Keeper events to our daily timetable, including extra opportunities to see the elephants, chimpanzees and otters during feeding time, as well as chat to our Bird Keepers as they feed our spectacular birds that call our aviaries home.
Plan your day around these new experiences and our regular daily timetable of activities to make the most of your visit.
Catch a talk or show
Our regular schedule of daily keeper talks and shows will still be available all Summer long, and the best part? It's all still free with your Zoo entry.
Escape the heat by catching a free show in the air-conditioned Centenary Theatre, where the two-storey high, ultra-wide screen makes viewing everything a treat.
Check out our new food outlets
The Taronga Food Market and The View Restaurant & Takeaway have had a face-lift! With both having recently undergone a full renovation, these food outlets are now bright, fresh spaces serving a selection of diverse and contemporary hot and cold food options.
Be sure to stop by, take a seat and enjoy your brand new surrounds and some well-deserved lunch at the same time.
Whether you're keeping cool with the animals, swinging around the treetops or taking flight to Sumatra at our immersive new experience, Tiger Trek, we've brought all of our kid-friendly activities together in one place so you can plan your family day out at the Zoo.
Under construction: Savannah
If you're visiting over Summer, you may notice that a lot is changing at the Zoo. That's because we're creating a new African adventure, Savannah.
Among the animals that will call Savannah home are African Lions, Fennec Foxes, Zebra, Giraffe and Meerkats. Be inspired by wildlife, stories and songs from the vast Savannah grasslands when our new adventure opens.
The Savannah is a part of our 10 year Centenary capital revitalisation plan that began with the opening of Tiger Trek, a world-class, immersive wildlife experience aimed at educating and inspiring guests to help make a positive difference for critically endangered wildlife.
We understand there is never a good time to build a better Zoo, however the work we are investing in is to improve our animal habitats and deliver experiences that influence positive behaviour change to support the future of our wildlife.
