Workshop overview
Aboriginal Peoples are the First Custodians of Country, with knowledge passed through generations via stories, language, culture, and a lived relationship with Land, Water and Sky. These stories hold deep teachings about the natural world and the connections between people, animals, and place.
In this engaging Early Stage 1 and Stage 1 workshop, students explore the natural features of Country through Aboriginal Dreaming Stories. Created in collaboration with Taronga Zoo’s Indigenous Education Officer and guided by our educators, students will learn how animals and landscapes are interwoven within Aboriginal culture, identity and knowledge systems.
