Workshop overview

Lead, collaborate, discover

A leadership experience inspired by the animal kingdom.

Leadership isn't just about being in charge. Across the animal kingdom, individuals and groups communicate, cooperate, make decisions, adapt to change and use their unique strengths to survive and thrive.

In this immersive zoo-based program, students explore how different animals work together, respond to challenges and lead in different ways. Through engaging, hands-on activities, students apply these lessons to their own experiences as they work collaboratively to solve problems, make decisions and overcome challenges.

Students discover that effective leadership can take many forms and that everyone has valuable strengths to contribute to a team.

What’s Involved

Throughout the program, students participate in a series of interactive challenges located throughout the Zoo.

Learning Outcomes (Skills Focused)

By participating in this program, students will:

  • Develop effective communication and active listening skills.
  • Strengthen teamwork and collaboration capabilities.
  • Build confidence in leadership and decision-making.
  • Apply critical and creative thinking to solve challenges.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and resilience when faced with unexpected situations.
  • Recognise and value diverse strengths within a team.
  • Reflect on their own leadership style and areas for growth.
