Meet your Wild Pal
My story
I'm Kaz the Koala joey. I was climbing up a tree one day, looking for the yummiest gum leaves I could find. When BAM, suddenly, I heard a dog barking and bounding right towards me! It was so fast, it jumped right up to the tree I was in. I scrambled to escape but, in the rush, I fell! I got very dirty and hurt my arm. Will you help me?

Use your Mini Vet kit to look after Kaz.
Check her vitals.
A Koala’s heartrate is usually between 60 and 140 beats per minute.
Use your stethoscope from your Mini Vet Kit to check its heart rate.

Wash and disinfect
Koala fur is water-repellent, and their digit (like a finger) has a claw they use to comb and scratch.
To help treat and prevent infection, wash the area with soap and treat with antiseptic.

Bandage her arm!
Koalas spend most of their time in the trees. Your Wild Pal’s arm needs to be strong enough to climb up high.
Use your Mini Vet bandage to wrap her injured arm.

Rest and recover.
It’s nice to care for animals, but it’s good to give them space and let them rest.
Make sure your Mini Vet pack is nice and cosy with a blanket and a branch for them to sit on.

Thanks for looking after me!
Koalas around the country are lucky to have Mini Vet’s like YOU looking after them! You can carry them around in your Mini Vet pack, bandage them up, and make sure they have plenty of water to drink. Injured animals generally like warm, dark spaces to rest and recover in – so make sure you keep your Mini Vet pack in tip-top condition.
