Meet your Wild Pal
My story
I'm Kevin and I'm 4 years old. I love relaxing in eucalyptus trees, snoozing and munching on leaves. But one day, while I was having a big nap, I smelt something strange. The air didn't smell clean, and it was uncomfortable to breathe in – it smelt...smokey! I looked around me, confused and concerned. I started to get really thirsty and feel dehydrated. It was HOT! I clambered down from my cozy spot in the tree and burnt my paws on the ground. Will you help me recover?

Use your Mini Vet kit to look after Kevin.
Quench his thirst!
Koalas get most of their hydration from leaves, but in hot conditions, they will drink from a bowl.
Get some lush eucalyptus leaves for his Mini Vet pack and have a water bowl he can drink from.

Check his vitals.
A Koala’s heartrate is usually between 60 and 140 beats per minute.
Use your stethoscope from your Mini Vet Kit to check his heart rate.

Bandage those paws!
Koalas spend most of their time in the trees. Their paws aren’t made for walking along the hot ground!
Wrap up those poor paws.

Rest and recover.
It’s nice to care for animals, but it’s good to give them space and let them rest.
Make sure your Mini Vet pack is nice and cosy with a blanket and a branch for them to sit on.

Thanks for looking after me!
Koalas around the country are lucky to have Mini Vet’s like YOU looking after them! You can carry them around in your Mini Vet pack, bandage them up, and make sure they have plenty of water to drink. Injured animals generally like warm, dark spaces to rest and recover in – so make sure you keep your Mini Vet pack in tip-top condition.
