Visiting earlier in the day means fewer crowds and seeing more active animals that may enjoy a sleep in the afternoon.

Choose the tours and keeper talks you want to see and plan your itinerary around them. You’ll learn so much more about the animals that call Taronga home.
Lock it in
On busier days, it’s best to get to book your tours and encounters in advance before your visit so you can secure your spot to get up close to your favourite animal.
Cruise around
Rent a bike and explore every part of the Zoo including smaller paths and trails off the main Zoo circuit.
Water break
Bring your reusable water bottle and fill up at one of our refill stations around the Zoo. Bring your keep cup and start your day with a coffee from our 2 cafes.

Take a picnic and head for some shade at the Asian Picnic Ground near Siamang Island to watch and listen to these incredible primates.

The Waterhole Cafe is the perfect half way point around the circuit to rest, grab a snack and let the kids go wild in the waterplay park.

Exploring the Dubbo region
