A night under the stars

Hosted by media personality Matty J, this year's celebration will feature award-winning children's entertainers The Mik Maks, a special performance by the Australian Girls Choir, festive entertainment, and special guest appearances. 

Set against the spectacular backdrop of Sydney Harbour, this much-loved family event brings together live music and plenty of Christmas favourites for an unforgettable evening the whole family can enjoy. 

Your ticket also includes entry to Taronga Zoo from 2pm-5pm, giving you the chance to explore the Zoo before settling in for a festive night under the stars.

Matty J  

Matthew Johnson, better known to many as Matty J, first appeared on Australian screens in a very unconventional search for love, where he met his now wife, Laura. Since swapping a career in marketing for life in front of the camera, Matty has built an online community of more than 550,000 by sharing the joyful chaos of family life with Laura, their three daughters, and his mum, who lives with them.

Through his hit parenting podcast, Two Doting Dads, co-hosted with best mate Ash Wicks, Matty brings humour, honesty and heart to the realities of modern fatherhood, tackling everything from toddler tantrums to the conversations dads don't often have.

The Miks Maks 

The Mik Maks are bringing their high-energy Christmas show to Christmas Live at Taronga on Saturday 5th December, 2026. Brothers Joel and Al, joined by Joel's daughter Ava and lovable friend Drums the Panda, will have families singing, dancing and giggling along to their much loved Christmas songs. The Mik Maks perform a blend of rocked up Christmas classics alongside their own catchy Christmas tunes.   

The Mik Maks have grown an enormous online following due to the success of their YouTube channel. However, the real magic still happens during their live shows.

Australian Girls Choir 

The Australian Girls Choir is renowned for its exceptional young vocal talent and inspiring performances. Comprising talented choristers from across Sydney, the choir has performed at many of Australia's most prestigious events and venues, delighting audiences with its artistry, professionalism and uplifting sound. Their performances celebrate the joy of music while fostering confidence, creativity and excellence in young performers.
