This leisurely-guided walk experience will take you to see some of the world's exotic and endangered species before the Zoo opens.

Need to know

  • Cost in addition to Zoo admission:
    • $15 per adult
    • $7.50 per child 4 - 15 years old
  • When: weekends and public holidays, plus Wednesdays and Fridays during school holidays
  • Start time: 7.00am - 7.20am
  • End time: tour concludes approximately 9.30am
  • Departure: tour departs from the Savannah Visitor Plaza (map ref. 22F)

Running Festival the Early Morning Walk will not take place on Sunday 27 August 2023.

Please note, the Early Morning Walk does not run on Christmas Day, New Years Day or Anzac Day.

Guest requirements

This walk is suitable for people capable of walking 3.8 kilometres, taking approximately 2 - 2.5 hours to complete.
