Will you help our Aussie wildlife with a monthly gift?

Right now, sick and injured Australian animals need your help.
Right now, sick and injured Australian animals need your help.

Taronga’s two Wildlife Hospitals in Sydney and Dubbo provide vital emergency assistance to sick and injured animals from the wild. Each year, we see native animals like Marine Turtles, Koalas, Platypus and many others coming through our doors.

Many of the animals we see have been injured by people, boats and cars, are suffering from disease, or have been impacted by natural disasters like bushfires, droughts or floods.

With your regular monthly donation we can provide Australian wildlife with the best possible care.

Just $20 a month can help buy vital supplies like:

  • Bedding for sick or injured animals
  • Bandages and medication for animals in our care
  • Specialist food and formulas for sick or orphaned animals

Wildlife Emergencies

Extreme weather events like bushfires, droughts and floods mean even more injured and displaced animals come through our doors. In wildlife emergencies, our expert team of Vets and Vet Nurses work around the clock to care for impacted Australian animals.

Many of these animals need ongoing medical care and rehabilitation, and many of their populations have been nearly decimated. Others rescued from the path of fire and drought will require shelter and food until they there is safe habitat for them to return to but many have no homes to go back to.

The catastrophic drought and bushfires of 2019/2020 saw the loss of 1 billion native animals and 12 million hectares of critical habitat. Fortunately, thanks to our wonderful supporters, Taronga Wildlife Hospital staff were able to respond with emergency care and shelter for hundreds of impacted animals, many of which were able to be re-released into the wild.
