Let’s get digital

Let’s get digital

Let's get digital.

During COVID-19, our Taronga Education team brought the Zoo to students virtually, creating engaging and educational content to support learning from home and in the classroom. This initiative resulted in Taronga Education TV, a series of short virtual Zoo lessons, taking students on a journey through the Zoo. These episodes remain a valuable resource today and are still available to watch.

Schools can now also book private, curriculum-linked virtual Zoo workshops, offering an interactive Taronga excursion experience from the comfort of the classroom or from anywhere!

Taronga Education TV

Experience Taronga from anywhere with Taronga Education TV — a FREE virtual Zoo series available to be streamed straight to your screen. These 20-minute Zoo lessons were launched weekly and led by a qualified Taronga Educator, featuring some of our most incredible animals.

Across the series, you’ll discover more about each animal’s habitat and needs, the challenges they face for survival, and the remarkable adaptations that help them thrive. You’ll also hear firsthand stories from Zoo staff and explore the role we can all play in creating a more sustainable future.

Sessions are hosted on the Taronga website via Vimeo. No download is required, simply watch on a Taronga webpage. Vimeo also supports multiple devices streaming at the same time.
